Cognex ViDi Suite is the first deep learning-based image analysis software designed specifically for factory automation. It is a field-tested, optimized and reliable software solution based on a state-of-the-art set of algorithms in Machine Learning. Combining artificial intelligence (AI) with VisionPro and Cognex Designer software, Cognex ViDi Suite solves complex applications that are too difficult, tedious, or expensive for traditional machine vision systems. The Suite consists of 4 different tools: Locate, Analyze, Classify, and Read.

4 powerful toolsets:  Cognex ViDi’s deep learning-based algorithms are optimized for real-world industrial image analysis, requiring vastly smaller image sets and shorter training and validation periods.  Choose between Red-Analyze, Green-Classify, Blue-Locate, and Blue-Read tools to solve your highly supervised to completely unsupervised applications.

• Locate: ViDi Blue-Locate finds complex features and objects by learning from annotated images. Self-learning algorithms locate parts (despite changes in appearance), and perform quality control checks on kits and packages. Vidi Blue is ideal for kitting & assembly verification.
• Analyze: ViDi Red-Analyze identifies anomalies & defects despite part variations. It segments defects or other regions of interest simply by learning the varying appearance of the targeted zone. It identifies scratches on complex surfaces, and incomplete or improper assemblies simply by learning the normal appearance of an object including its significant but tolerable variations. 
• Classify: Vidi Green-Classify distinguishes between classes based on a collection of labeled images, while tolerating differences. It is ideal for part & defect classification. By training on acceptable tolerances, ViDi Green-Classify identifies products based on their packaging, and separates acceptable or inacceptable anomalies. ViDi Green-Classify is used to classify an object or a complete scene.
• Read: Vidi Blue-Read deciphers badly deformed, skewed, and poorly etched codes using optical character recognition (OCR). Vidi Blue-Read is easily retrained on application-specific fonts and mis-read characters. The pretrained font library identifies most text without additional programming or font training for fast, easy implementation. This robust tool can be retrained to adjust to specific (complex) OCR application requirements—no vision expertise required.
